USAT call regarding contributing member status

This last Friday USCT had a call with Kevin Ferguson and Devin Johnson of USAT. The call went very well and it appears we are well on our way toward a joint effort. An agreement was reached to schedule a regular call and to keep each other informed as to efforts with NCAA and USOC.
We will begin meeting with University Athletic Directors in the next few weeks which is the second to last step in preparing the application process. The last step we have put in motion is the development of the high school leagues as advised by NCAA.
We have had an exceptional response as I received a huge number of emails requesting information. Our first call with local taekwondo school owner’s interested in working with the state program was held this morning and the second will be held this evening at 10PM Eastern. During the call we outlined the best practices and lessons learned of other successful Taekwondo Letter Programs, our experience dealing with schools and state athletic commissions and the tools we are providing to help those interested in working with this program get started. So far we have traction in the following areas: DC, CO, FL, GA, IL, IO, MD, NJ, OK, PA, TX, VA, WI .
